E.SAR.HAD'DON (Asshur has given a brother)
Sennacherib's son, and successor (2 Kings 19:37; Isaiah 37:38) to the Assyrian throne, after his father had been killed during a revolution. He ruled over Assyria 681-668 B.C. He refounded Babylon, which his father had destroyed, and was a restorer of temples. See also Ezra 4:2.
