Young, Frederick George, an American educator; born in Burnett, Wis., June 3, 1858; was graduated at Johns Hopkins University in 1886; was vice-principal of the State Normal School, in Madison, S. D., in 1887-1890; principal of the Portland High School, Oregon, in 1890-1894; president of Albany College, Oregon, in 1894-1895; and became Professor of Economics and History in the University of Oregon in the latter year. He was a member of the State Constitutional Convention of South Dakota in 1889.
