According to Arthurian legend, the Lady of the Lake was in possession of the four Hallows of the Goddess; relics of her worship, holy to all those that follow the Old Ways.

First is the Plate, from which the Goddess feeds all those that follow her starlit path. It is made of warm gold, to reflect the warmth of the sun.

The Chalice comes next; it is large, and embossed with scenes of the seasons. From it the Goddess gives drink and nourishment.

The Lance of Defense follows; slender and made of gold, it is used to bring justice to the followers of the forested trail.

The Sword of Truth is a golden blade, used to protect and to attack. It is encrusted with jewels sacred to Her Name; moonstones, pearls, amethysts.

Legend holds that all of these treasures were retained on Avalon with the Lady of the Lake, until the Christians came and attempted to take them for their own personal use. The Hallows were secreted off of the Island. Some hold the belief that Guenevere and Lancelot helped in this venture. The truth is hidden in the dust of ages.
