How to Get to Heaven from Jacksonville, FL

This debut LP from Gospel Music takes its title from a tract which lead singer Owen Holmes (who you may recognize from the band Black Kids) spent much of his youth distributing at the local Baptist Church. The entire thing is a playfully seriously ironic examination of what it means to choose detachment over the faith one was born into whilst maintaining personal integrity.

The album was released by Kill Rock Stars in the fall of 2011.
