The
Illini Union is the student center at the
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. It is located on Green Street, adjacent to
Altgeld Hall on
Wright Avenue. This large building houses
snack shops,
snack machines, campus information areas, a
food court, a
hotel, a
bowling alley, and
arcade, a
computer lab, and various study and socialization areas. Its exterior is
brick, much of the interior contains tasteful
woodwork panels and flooring.
Its entry foyer contains several large, comfy leather couches which are excellent for napping on between classes. There is a also an espresso royale coffee shop directly adjacent to the foyer making for easy coffee access from Everitt Lab across the street.
