Latin Extended A picks up where Latin-1 left off. 128 augmented Latin characters including that funny little s that looks like an f in pre-19th Century typography.

Most languages supported by this block also require the use of characters in Basic Latin and Latin-1 Supplement. When combined with these, Latin Extended-A supports Afrikaans, Basque, Breton, Catalan, Croatian, Czech, Esperanto, Estonian, French, Frisian, Greenalndic, Hungarian, Latin, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Polish, Provençal, Rhaeto-Romantic, Romanian, Romany, Sami, Slovak, Slovenian, Sorbian, Turkish, Welsh and many others.

Unicode's Latin Extended A code block reserves the 128 code points from U+0100 to U+017F, of which all 128 are currently assigned.
