A town in Dutchess County, New York. The place where Timothy Leary had his compound, a magnet for geniuses, groupies and - mainly - psychedelic nutcases. All the wacko notions of the day, including new and exotic post-acid druggage, and "back to the land" primitivism, played out there. Leary often butted heads with The Man, in the form of assistant District Attorney G. Gordon Liddy.
