A card room in Oakland, California. Head north on San Pablo Avenue from the Oakland city center, just past the intersection with 40th Street, you will see two parking lots, three signs, and the Oaks Club Room itself. The card room has numerous tables at which lowball and other poker variants may be played for money. It is open 24 hours a day and they provide security guards for the parking lots as well as the card room.

The adjoining bar and hofbrau are also open 24 hours a day, and serve immense portions of spaghetti, meat and potatoes, and salad for low low prices.

It seems, from photographs scattered around the hofbrau, that the Oaks Club Room has been on that particular corner of Oakland since 1930s.
