A research and nature preserve owned by UC Davis, Quail Ridge is located on a peninsula of Lake Berryessa north of san francisco. The area is charactarized by blue oak woodland, chamise cover, and grassland consisting of both native bunchgrasses and non-natives such as avena. Wildlife such as deer and quail are common here. The area is largely undeveloped and as of yet not open to the public.
