In order to get around some of the new backdoor viri floating around, make a duplicate of the regedit.exe application named regedit.com. Click Start->Run, then type: copy %WINDIR%regedit.exe regedit.com . This way, if you contract a virus on your computer that limits your access to .exe files, you can simply hit the run command and type regedit.com. This will give you access to the registry to make all those important changes to keys to get your system running again. Then again, you could always just run a Mac.
