Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, was born October 15th, 1959 in London. Ferguson is the second daughter of Major Ronald Ferguson and Susan, the late Mrs Hector Barrantes.
On July 23rd, 1986 Ferguson married Prince Andrew in Westminster Abbey. At the time of their marriage Prince Andrew was created The Duke of York and Sarah became The Duchess of York. Ferguson and Prince Andrew have two children, Beatrice Elizabeth Mary of York and Eugenie Victoria Helena. They are fifth and sixth in line of succession to the throne.
In March 1992 Ferguson and Prince Andrew separated; they divorced in May 1996.
