A county in western central England UK on the border with Wales.

Predominantly rural with a population of less than half a million spread over 1500 sq.mi (4000 sq.km), which for England is pretty sparse. Mostly used for farming sheep, wheat or oil seed.

Major town is Shrewsbury, UK. Telford, UK is no longer part of Shropshire.

Nice, pretty, but not much going on.
