Visual Basic in 'gone good' shock.
A fully typed language, a total rewrite from VB 6.
With the
lead programmer as the guy who wrote
Delphi, it's fast, very
object orientated and just generally splendid. Simple
maintainable sytax, a beautiful
IDE, I could go on.
Invariably
GPL zealots will criticise it due to it coming from
Microsoft, and also due it being related to previous VBs. Shame, cause
IMHO it's the best language for writing
Windows client GUI applications.
(Before anyone criticizes me by saying I find
C too hard, believe me, I don't;
Perl is my first
language.)
