Veisalgia

(vye-SAL-juh)
(n.) A hangover (medical term)

Tell your boss you've been struck by a severe case of veisalgia, but the good news is that it goes away after a day with lots of water and Advil.

It's from the Norwegian "kveis," or "uneasiness following debauchery," and the Greek "algia," which means "pain" (as in the pain-reliever called an "analgesic.").

It's not in most dictionaries, but I think this could possibly save your job!
