1967- at WFMU, a listener-sponsored station in East Orange, New Jersey, he pioneered "free form radio", which has been his area ever since

1985 to 1996- at WXRK, hosted a show newly named Idiot's Delight
1996 to 2001- at WNEW, hosted Idiot's Delight weekly
2001- at WFUV, public radio from Fordham University, hosts Idiot's Delight weekly

Co-creator of the series "In Their Own Words: A Bunch Of Songwriters Sittin' Around Singing at The Bottom Line in NYC". Served as that series' host from 1990 to 1995.
