boffing' refers to all manner of light
weapons combat (probably from the sound made when one hits another person).
Commonly practiced by live action roleplaying (LARP) enthusiasts, boffing uses rounded, foam-tipped weapons (commonly referred to as 'boffers' or 'boffing sticks').
