A term in drumspeak referring to the sound made when a flam is played. It is the same length of beat as dup, which is conventionally a quarter note. An example of this occurs in the name of a percussion warmup called "Diga Diga Dup Chup". If dup or diga changes length, this may affect the length of chup.
