The main purpose of the
Campus Ministry, USA, confrontational evangelism involves insulting a
sinner in order to get them to think about
God and such. Confrontational evangelists do not hesitate to use words such as
faggot,
whore,
sperm-eater, and the like to describe those they preach to.
While some get upset, most find it entertaining to mock the preacher as they harangue passers-by. Many a student has skipped afternoon classes in favor of Jed-baiting.
