cosmic

In metaphysics, 'cosmic' refers to something which involves the individual's higher state of being or the relationship between the individual and the sacred or magical. In SF/fantasy, 'cosmic' may mean the same, or it may refer to something which affects the entire galaxy or universe, perhaps even the very nature of reality itself. The word 'cosmic' may derive from the word 'macrocosm' (the universe), an extension of 'cosm' (world). See microcosm.
