給料泥棒
Japanese word that literally means "salary thief".
Definition: A salaryman that does nothing at work because they really don't have any skills or the ability to do anything useful that pertains to work. They just get paid for "showing up and being there" and will usually spend their entire career "working next to a window".
Term used personally and by others to describe myself... as I am at work doing nothing and now typing this node (but not next to a window though).
One good thing about a kyuuryou dorobou is that they usually know all of the good drinking spots, are masters of the arts of shuuden and goukon, and even after a night of rigorous training in these arts, still manage to master, accomplish, and reach new heights in the art of hashigo. Thus they are accepted as a vital part of a japanese company and highly respected by their peer salaryman.
Also, with the way that japanese companies are about firing people (they don't!), there is little or no risk in losing their jobs.
