Place where all of the cops hang out. You can find police boxes at most major train stations and near busy places or intersections. If you have trouble or need directions, go to the police box and ask for help, but I don’t think many of them speak English though, so you might be sol without Japanese skillz. Policeman Ryoutsu Kankichi is well known for not being able to speak english. Sometimes, if you are really lucky, you can even catch the omawarisan sleeping at their desks.

It's also the kind of phone box that Dr Who uses to travel through time. Also known as the Tardis.
