French word (usually written as suivez-moi-jeune-homme), lit. "follow me, young man". A ribbon tied around the hat and hanging on the neck. In the 19th century, women, especially married women, wore a suivez-moi-jeune-homme as a discreet invitation to men.

Unfortunately, women do not wear hats any more, and this pretty word has disappeared from the vocabulary.
