A force in the west coast
hip hop scene. Lyrically driven by the
emcees Mad Dog and Prevail while
DJ Zodak produces some dark, heavy
beats. Swollen Members are the real deal.
Their first three releases were on Battle Axe, and their first full album was released on Jazz Fudge. Their release Balance on Jazz Fudge displayed guest appearances from Dilated Peoples, Divine Styler, and Everlast. One of the coolest aspects of Swollen Members remains the transition they made from starting in Vancouver to becoming a hip-hop name in the west coast movement.
