A one piece getup worn by rowers the world over. Usually it is made out of Spandex, and is a pair of shorts and a tanktop joined together. Remarkably comfortable, the big debate on race day is "Commando, or no?" As many as half of American collegiate male rowers "go commando" under their unisuit, and it is not uncommon to find a female rower who does the same. Lightweight rowers know how much a unisuit weighs, about 7 ounces, because they are at times so close to the 155 pound cutoff (130 for women) that they show up at the regatta scales naked. Unisuits are made by JL Design, Boathouse Sport, and (occasionally) Nike.
