The Sega Dreamcast was the last console produced by Sega, and was also produced by: Videologic, Yamaha, Hitachi and Microsoft (who now producde the X-Box).
The main difference from its main rivals is that it was designed for network connectivity and multiplayer gaming. The Dreamcast can support four controllers, has an integral 33.6 Kbps modem, and an innovative visual memory PDA card that slots into the top of the controller. The machine can translate 3 million polygons per second, has a 64-channel sound system and a customised version of Windows CE.
