Dear people,
Life is changing again, but I think it's for the better. Yesterday I came back from Phoenix and checked on my garden. It's getting overgrown, and soon it won't be my garden anymore. What I can take with me is a fig tree, a few pots of succulents, a few pepper plants potted and ready to go. What I'll leave behind are the carrots, the rosemary bush, the lavender, the strawberries: but none of those were really mine in the first place. The wooden crate of wildflowers will have to continue to sit and molder.
My job is still wonderful, and my friends and my new family are great. On Saturday, I'll be helping pry up sections of concrete to make space for some trees to be planted. Then it's to the farmer's market and off to Eugene to help Jen can a whole ton of fruit. We may drink some wine in there too.
I won't say it's easy, or that I'm happy all the time, but I will say that I feel more like myself than I have in a year and change.
Best wishes. Catch you on the other side.
