"Bootzilla" was Bootsy's one and only #1 hit, featuring lyrics that advertise a (unfortunately fictional) Bootzilla action figure. In 1978, "Bootzilla" knocked another funk classic "Flashlight" (George Clinton and Parliament) from it's perch at #1 on the R&B charts. Known for it's child's toy intro and the spectacular vocal performance (WIIIIIIIIIIIND ME UP!) "Bootzilla" has been called a "hard rocking funk workout" and is definitely the funkiest toy song to ever exist. The first time I heard this song I couldn't stop laughing for fifteen minutes. It was amazing and instantly became "our song" for that relationship.
