Developers Group inside Capcom, formed in October, 1999 to specifically make new games for the Nintendo GameCube. The group formally existed only for a short time, before being dissolved into smaller studios such as Grasshopper (which is currently handling Killer 7) and Clover Studio (which is working on the development of the Viewtiful Joe franchise).

General Manger: Shinji Mikami (Worked on games such as Resident Evil, Dino Crisis, and Devil May Cry)

Their projects announced when they formed included:

  • Biohazard 4/Resident Evil 4 - To be released in 2004 in Japan, 2004/2005 in North America.
  • Viewtiful Joe - A critical success, it did reasonably well in the marketplace. It is now going to be ported to the PlayStation 2, and a sequel is in the works.
  • P.N. 03 - Released, to both poor sales and bad reviews. The game was in oversupply in North America, and ended up being highly discounted. Still widely available.
  • Dead Phoenix - Cancelled
  • Killer 7 - To be released in 2004
