Japanese word indicating an approximate duration. It can usually be omitted from a translation into English, or possibly translated as "about". This word is actually spelled "kurai", but is pronounced "gurai" in almost every case. When expressing a duration, you usually need to add gurai to avoid sounding too precise, and therefore rude.
