Alive Again
Joy
Happiness overwhelming
Optimism
Returned from its place of banishment
Lifts her soul like great white wings
Into the pure skies
Flying
Feeling free
She drifts
She looks up
Always up
Now
She rises
To the bright blessing light
Warming her body as it warms her heart
The clouds dance around her
Light and fluffy as she
The light kisses her
And blesses her
And tells her to go back
To her own world
Below
She goes
She looks up
The light cheers her
Looking down
Between the clouds
She sees the world
In the light
She cries
Joy
Such joy she has not known
For years
She says
Children have joy
And rare
Is the adult who keeps it
No longer one
And soon to be the other
She cries in joy
And her feet touch the ground
She runs to her love
Looks in his eyes
She says
Love is a solid thing
I hold it in my arms
In this warm body
He looks at her
Their spirits meld
And together they look up
As one soul
With joyful wings
They rise and look over the land

Cheer
Heartbreak
Love
Ignorance
Knowledge
Penalties
Rewards
Petty crimes
Pearls of wisdom
Bitterness
Faith
Tears
Laughter
Legends lost
Deeds remembered
Fear
Courage
Suspicion
Trust
Deception
Truth
Despair
Hope
Sorrow
And joy
As one
They reach out their hand
Touch souls
Heal wounds
Bring love
Give hope

As the sun shines
