I've noticed that on Q104.3, New York's classic rock station, they hardly ever bleep anything. The most notable example is in The Who's "Who Are You", in which the phrase "Who the fuck are you?" is uttered, and goes uncensored. That's the only time I've ever heard the fuck-word on the radio, unbleeped. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bothered by the profanity itself - in fact, it's refreshing to go ten minutes listening to music on the radio without any sort of censoring noise. I just wonder how they get away with it, and all the stations that play newer music censor their songs. Maybe they just don't get in trouble because the FCC just assumes that kids don't listen to classic rock, and therefore won't be exposed to the profanity that turns kids into fiends.
