Haltom City is a suburb in the Dallas - Fort Worth Metroplex, located in Tarrant County, Texas. Haltom City ("Haltom" for short) is bordered by Fort Worth to the south and west, Watauga to the north and North Richland Hills to the east.

White settlement began in the area in the 1840s and consisted largely of settlers attracted by land grants offered by the Republic of Texas. Haltom Village was founded in 1932, and incorporated as a city in 1949. Today, Haltom exists mainly as a bedroom community, as downtown Ft. Worth is only a 20-minute drive away from all parts of the city (via Interstate 35-W, Interstate 820 or Hwy. 121).

Haltom City has produced only one celebrity of note: troubled porn star Savannah, who committed suicide in 1994.
