Their sound on this album is very different to 1996's Slap in the Face. I hear a lot more 'fullness' - they use synthesizer, saxophone, piano and electric guitar more(or at least it seems so), and in general the other intruments also seem more 'upfront'.

I don't think it's the change in sound that makes me dislike this album, after all, I really like One Day Soon, Karma's previous album. One of my problems with this album is, it's too African. Come on, there's Pennywhistle on I Should've Known. But, the main problem, in my opinion, is the lyrics just don't do anything for me. They don't seem as personal as they should be. The only song I like lyrically is I Should've Known, but it's no Just or Tempted to Stay.

Strangely, there's no credit given for who played on the CD. Recorded at Sharp Street Studio. Additional recording at M2 Radio Park and Mugu Studio. All words and music written by Karma-ann Swanepoel, except I Should've Known - Words Swanepoel, music Swanepoel and Ou Tim; and The Whistle Song - Words Swanepoel, music Swanepoel, Ou Tim, Sun & Cohen.
