NASA scientists are still receiving data from Voyager even though the signal
it is emitting has 20 billion times less energy than that emitted by a standard
digital watch.
Barring any catastrophic events, JPL should be able to gather information from the
the cosmic ray subsystem, the low-energy charge particle instrument, the
magnetometer, the plasma subsystem, the plasma wave subsystem and the planetary
radio astronomy instrument, for at least the next 20 - 30 years.
