Shannon is the creator and publisher of BME. He is a 28-year old Canadian. His university background includes a fine arts scholarship and then computer science. He has worked as a programmer, a gallows tour guide, a baseball diamond liner, and a farm-hand. He is a former psychiatric inpatient, reformed psychedelic explorer and provider, and is now enjoying a reclusive life in spite of his extremely public online presence. He owns a number of companies and works eighty or more hours a week developing both BME and custom software applications for the online and telephony worlds.
