It sucks, sure, but it really isn't so terrible. I've always had dial-up access, and for the week that I had cable access.. it just annoyed me, for some reason. Perhaps it's a matter of patience, which I tend to have copious amounts of most of the time. I'm always doing more than one thing on-line, or at least on my computer, so speed matters little. Twenty minutes seems like nothing for a four meg file (that's about how long it takes me), if you've got other stuff going on.

Dial-up really is not that bad considering there are still a ton of people who don't have the net at all. Also of note, 56k seems like high speed access to me after having 20k or less for the longest time, but even that wasn't so bad. I don't do as much uploading or downloading anymore, but even when I did 4k/sec was good enough.

I always think it's amusing when people complain about dial-up access sucking. I'm quite content with it.. it's far more affordable, and adequate for the majority of computer users. I guess it's a good thing that I don't mind it, because there is nothing else available around here. So I can't download the entire internet onto my computer in a couple of minutes, at least I can still use e2.
