An excellent combination of fat bass riffs, twangy guitar and the occasional sarcastic acoustic ballad. The band was originally conceived and created by Lou Barlow of Sebadoh and Dinosaur Jr and John Davis; former member of Palace Brothers. Beyond the single Natural One on the Kids soundtrack, they have other great works to choose from.
I saw the band last night at ‘The Bottom of the Hill’ in San Francisco and learned that John Davis has retired, but that Lou Barlow plans to carry on The Folk Implosion.
