What most people in
Quebec call a car. The rest of the World calls it a 'voiture' (warning: people in Quebec will cringe if they hear you utter that word). However, in written French, you'd say voiture, automobile or auto. If you look up in the French dictionary, you'll find that 'char' means
chariot(1). It makes sense seeing as the
Model-T looks a lot like a chariot. Char is
masculine.
