Another fact about the
Platypus that supports the hypothesis that they are the strangest animals on earth is that they
Dream more than any other animal. Not that they sleep the most (I would guess the
Three-Toed Sloth sleeps the most), but actually go into a state of heightened brain activity something like
REM sleep. The article I read said that
Platypi actually dream in the neighborhood of seventeen hours a day.
Now I’m no aboriginal medicine man, but I hope that in the Dream Time Platypi are graceful gazelle like creatures. That would be justice.
