i have no real idea what i was doing on this day, after all it's almost six years ago. But based on my memories of last year (and being the creature of habit) i was probably at he cafe in the morning having a coffee witth Will, and later, at the pub conspiring with friends about a Saint George's Day pub crawl outing.
i may have still been trying to show off a new hummingbird tattoo (my first!), which had been a birthday present to myself earlier in the month. it's almost certainly coming up, that anniversary; my 69th birthday is mere days away as I write this in 2025. 5h February is also my handfasting anniversary and i tend to remember that rather than my birthday, no, it really is a co-incidence that they're the same date.
What I wasn't doing was mourning the loss of a precursor of the Guardians of the Galaxy character Rocket Raccoon. James Gunn modelled Rocket on a real-life raccoon named Oreo, who died today (or possibly the ninth), according to sources.
To the unknown soul who posted "A Late R.I.P. to Oreo the Raccoon, aged 10. April 13, 2009 - February 7, 2019. pbuh." as a catbox topic here earlier, I say 'Well done!" for piquing my curiosity. I enjoyed the character of Rocket in the films (greatly watchable films if you've not seen them by the bye).
