A large family-run
wine company, based in the state of
South Australia. Some but not all of their
labels are marked as Angove's wine. On those that are, a big deal is made about the fact that the company has been owned by the family for 5 generations, as if in a free market one should pay more respect to the values of
greed and
nepotism than the values represented by rapacious uncaring multinationals accountable to shareholders, rather than simply going for the best
piss you'll get for your money.
Angove's also manufacture
Stone's Green Ginger Wine, but are smart enough to keep their family name away from it.
Perhaps in tribute to the effects of drinking too much booze with
sulphur dioxide in it, the Angove's poster in many
bottle shops earns an
H at the front of the word.
