The Colorado Mammoth are one of the ten teams of the National Lacrosse League. The Mammoth are in the West Division with five other teams. They play at the Pepsi Center in Denver, Colorado, sharing facilities with the Colorado Avalanche professional hockey team and the Denver Nuggets professional basketball team.

The Mammoth played their first game on January 3, 2003 against the Toronto Rock in a 13-12 victory. The 16,121 crowd broke the record for inagural home game attendance.
