A doll/toy manufactured by Ertl that came out in 1994. Jibba Jabbers were extremely entertaining since they would make the greatest babbling squeaking kind of noise when you shook them by their neck.

This toy was recalled soon after release since many worried parents and groups were disturbed by the fact that this toy encouraged kids to shake things by the neck, stating that it could encourage "Shaken Baby Syndrome." Ertl later re-released the doll with new packaging (and stickers placed on the older boxes) which instead showed the doll being shook by the body, instead of the neck. Also placed in all boxes was a note reminding you that:

"It's OK to shake Jibba Jabber. It's never OK to shake a child."
