Shadis magazine was known as a very independant gaming magazine. Their articles were well written and very unbiased. They eventually became bought out by Alderac Entertainment Group, but before they allowed the deal to go through they published their new policy which was that they were not going to review any products made by AEG, that AEG was only allowed one full page advertisement per issue, and they would only have two articles per year of AEG games. That was actually harsher than what they treated other companies. I mourn the passing of Shadis, as it was a very objective magazine. There are still rumors that it might come back, perhaps with the name changed to Ronin magazine. In the mean time, we'll have to make do with Dragon Magazine and Inquest Magazine.
