A famous hockey player who played for the NHL. He played for the Toronto Maple leafs and the Buffalo Sabres back in the 1970's. He died driving at a high rate of speed while intoxicated. His death inspired someone to open a donut shop which has grown into one of the largest donut shop franchises in Canada. I find it ironic that someone who died so dishonourably has their name plastered all over thousands of coffee cups.

Wrong. He is the founder of the Tim Hortons chain. He opened his first donut shop in 1964 in Hamilton, Ontario. Tim died in 1974. See the entry Tim Hortons for the rest of the facts.
