Gabba or Gabber is a form of Hard Techno music, opinions differ as to where it started exactly, Holland and USA have both got valid claims. Initially just the harder-end of mainstream techno, by about 94/95 evolved into it's own lunatic style, severe distortion, over 200 bpm, horror/ganster film samples. Had it's peak of popularity in the UK between 1995-1997, now localised to Scotland, the South West of England and Wales. Leading UK DJ's are Loftgroover, Scorpio, HMS. A variety of names have sprung up around the varying styles, punk-core, thrash-core, speed-core, happy-core and the list goes on and on.

Affectionate nickname for the Brisbane Cricket Ground in Australia, coming from the suburb the ground is situated in - Wollongabba. It was opened in 1895 and is the home of Queensland cricket.
