The result, though, is really quite something, so after the rains, I still look for mushrooms.
Try it...
Look for the plain white mushrooms that grow on the lawn following a rain and carefully remove the stem. Place the cap, rounded side up, on a piece of plain white paper and cover with a large bowl. The next morning, remove the bowl and carefully lift the cap. The spores are thrown at night and will be in the pattern of the ruggae or folds on the underside of the cap. Simple entertainment, really, but--oh, i don't know.
