A gesture used as part of a cheer by fans of the Florida State University Seminoles. The gesture, and accompanying "Seminole War Chant," have been adopted by several professional sports franchises, including the Kansas City Chiefs and Atlanta Braves.

To "do the chop," extend your right arm forward (or your left... doesn't really matter) parallel to the ground, and form a blade perpendicular to the ground with your hand. Bend your arm back at the elbow past halfway, then re-extend with a chopping motion. Repeat this motion over and over again, while singing/yelling an annoying 4-measure line, and you too can fit in in Tallahassee, Atlanta or Kansas City.
