Shank (idea)

To "shank" means, more generally, to botch something catastrophically, almost always something involving a projectile widely missing its intended target. Extra "shank points" if it causes something bad to happen later. Things you can shank (potential catastrophies):

• golf shot (ball goes out of bounds)
• field goal or punt in football (caught and run back for TD)
• soccer kick (ball sails out of bounds)
• pool shot (knocks the wrong ball in)
• baseball pitch or putout (ball rolls into dugout)
• dart throw (dart hits waitress or breaks window)
• archery shot (arrow falls off handrest at last second)
• tennis serve (ball flies out of court)
• laser-guided bomb misses (blows up red cross warehouse)
