The seven chakras are used by a number of religions and mystical systems for the projection and reception of various types of psychic energy. Each one is assigned a color of the spectrum, from red (the root chakra at the base of the spine) to violet (the crown chakra at the top of the head). The higher-frequency colors correspond to higher levels of psychic energy.
